Dates in September 2007 to Remember

Dates To Remember:

September 1st: Rent is due today! The office will be closed due to Labor Day Weekend. Please leave your check or money order through the night drop at the front door. Please indicate your apartment address on your check.

September 3rd: Labor Day. Office will be closed due to holiday!

September 6-8th: 97th Annual Cleveland County Fair. Tractor pull and antique show, celebrity cow milking, carnival rides, live performances, contests, and so much more. Home to the states oldest Farmers Market. Free Admission Takes place at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds. Fair begings Th 3-9:30 p.m., F & Sat 9 a.m.- 10 p.m. For more information, please call 360-4721. www.clevelandcountyfair.org

September 13-23rd: Come out to the annual state fair. One of the best in the nation! Featuring rides, games, concerts, rodeos, motor sports, creative arts, food, and shopping. For more information on events and prices go to. www.okstatefairpark.com

September 29th:  Grape Festival in Slaughterville. Relive the classic “I Love Lucy” scene as you stomp, and sample some of Oklahoma’s finest wines. Festival begins at 10 a.m. For more information, please call 405-872-5565. Free admission.

Labor Day

In 1887, Oregon became the first state to make Labor Day a legal holiday. In 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed a bill making Labor Day a national holiday. The labor union movement reached its heights in America in 1978 with nearly 22 million members.
